Abita Strawberry Harvest is a lager brewed with pilsner and wheat malts and Vanguard hops. Real Louisiana strawberry juice is added after filtration resulting in a crisp lager with a sweet strawberry flavor, aroma and haze. It is wonderful with desserts or lighter fare such as salads and pastas. Fresh cheeses such as Burrata, chèvre, Crescenza, mozzarella or Teleme pair well with Strawberry Harvest.

ABOUT ABITA
Founded in 1986, the Abita Brewing Company is nestled in the piney woods 30 miles north of New Orleans.
In its first year, the brewery produced 1,500 barrels of beer. We had no idea what we started. Customers loved our beer! By 1994, we outgrew the original site (now our 100-seat brew pub) and moved up the road to a larger facility to keep up with demand.
We brew over 151,000 barrels of beer and 9,100 barrels of root beer in our state-of-the-art brewing facility. Our lagers and ales are brewed in small batches, hand-crafted by a team of dedicated workers with only the highest ideals of quality. This pride, along with our brewing process, is what creates our great brews.
We are privately owned and operated by local shareholders, many who have been with us since day one.

Brewery Ommegang and HBO are partnering on a series of beers in support of the critically-acclaimed drama Game of Thrones. Launching in tandem with the season three debut, Iron Throne is the inaugural beer in the series.
Iron Throne is a blonde ale at 6.5% ABV and brewed with a robust amount of pils, honey malt, aroma malts and red wheat. Gentle hopping includes Styrian Golding and Hallertau Spalter Select, appropriately noble hops. Spiced with grains of paradise and lemon peel. Hue is a slightly hazy golden amber. Head is full and fluffy. Finish is crisp, backed by a touch of spice and hops. Aroma is a bit grassy with a hint of lemon fruitiness from the lemon peel. Taste is lightly malty, rounded out by honey malt sweetness.

Flavium, 100% Mencia

Mencia may not be a grape you’ve heard about before, but we wanted to share this wine with you in hopes to expand your preference of Grape Varietals when looking for wine on a weekly (or daily) basis!
Mencia is a common grape grown in Northwest Spain. This particular wine comes from the northwest region of Spain, Bierzo. Although this grape used to be thought of as a cousin of Cabernet Franc, recent DNA testing has shown that this may not be true. And in flavor, this grape has really grown from what used to be a lighter bodied, simpler wine has now become a big red with bright color and complex flavors!
Our Tasting Notes:
Flavium Mencia has an absolutely beautiful Fuchsia red color!
The aroma holds chocolate, some dark cherry and even a hint of leather.
The wine is a nice rich and complex red! Dark fruit flavors with fresh acidity and tannins.
Great flavor and sophistication!
Food Pairing:
This wine could go great with slow roasted pork, grilled duck or many other foods!
