We will be exploring the often overlooked the world of ports, sherry’s and others. Fortified wines are often simply referred to as “dessert wines” because of their high level of sweetness and their tendency to be consumed after meals.  Fortifying wines was originally used as a preservation method. A fortified wine is typically a delicious, viscous wine-based sipping treat, that is made from adding additional alcohol during the fermentation process. This will be a fun class to sip through some dense, delicious wines that are sure to warm you up!
